What is "Wings and a Prayer"?
"Wings and a Prayer" is an event you can host using our unique packs of Praying Cards, some chicken wings, and the conviction that praying through Scripture is what we need more of these days.
In Luke 11:1 we hear the disciples ask Jesus a question that is dear to our heart, "Lord, teach us to pray". This is the heart of Wings and a Prayer, an event you can host with the men in your church, where prayer takes flight.
And while a plate of chicken wings may be the initial draw, as the night unfolds, as each prayer is offered, something truly special takes place. Minutes turn to hours. A deep sense of camaraderie forms while fighting on the battlefield of prayer together. Hearts are united in the beauty of Christ, the abundant blessings that are ours in Christ Jesus, and His all sufficient grace that supplies for every need.
The catalyst is the Holy Spirit's work in each heart, but the fuel is God's Word provided in this simple pack of 52 Praying Cards, as a framework for praying through Scripture. Following the A.C.T.S. model, each verse comes with suggestions for how to pray with Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication as the fourfold focus of the prayers for the night.
